A variety that we developed by adding brown to a slate.
Genotype: BB Dd ee for toms and BB Dd e- for hens.
Black base with dominant slate and brown.
They look basically like a blue slate except the normal areas of random black splashes are replaced with brown splashes on a blue base color.
When breeding, these three results will occur, which is similar to a typical slate breeding: Chocolate Slate, a pale Self Blue, and Chocolate. The latter two will breed true.
